SAVE THE DATES FOR MVFF44!

October 7-17, 2021

Join us this fall for another line-up of great films and special guests at the 44th Mill Valley Film Festival!

Our free MVFF Education programs will continue to be offered online to schools across the country with screenings, filmmaker conversations, and curriculum resources for K-12 students. As schools begin to return to in-person instruction, we also hope to start bringing students back into the theater with a limited number of in-person screenings for local Bay Area school groups. More details on those opportunities will be announced later this summer along with the complete MVFF Education film program.

SCHOOL SCREENINGS
We will present free screenings of more than a dozen films, each carefully selected from the complete MVFF program for grades K–12 in a variety of subjects designed for curriculum enhancement. Screenings will include guest speakers—filmmakers, film subjects and/or subject area experts—for either live or pre-recorded post-screening conversations and Q&As. All films will be presented on our CFI Education Online platform, with a select number of films also screening at the Smith Rafael Film Center and other San Francisco Bay Area theater venues to be announced.

FILMMAKERS GO TO SCHOOL
For a more interactive festival experience, our Filmmakers Go to School (FGTS) program will connect Festival filmmakers with students in real time to discuss and answer questions about their film and the art and craft of filmmaking. For MVFF44, we will be offering FGTS Virtual Visits on Zoom, where students can engage in live online discussions, as well as limited number of in-person visits to San Francisco Bay Area classrooms, where possible.

Registration begins September 2nd.
